Ice House – Salt Box
Project Description
This is the latest of our large developments, which had a programme of 6 months. A new and prestigious Restaurant, Bar and grill was to be developed from a previously void space beneath residential apartments making up the ‘Ice House’, adjacent to the National Ice stadium, in the centre of Nottingham. The design concept for the clients was undertaken by our longstanding design partner ‘Unknown Design’ who we have worked alongside on many projects – our appointment for the build was as a direct result of our ability to delivery similar projects on time and to a high standard. An exciting part of the project is the bespoke nature of the fixtures and fittings which we have undertaken to manufacture on site to ensure precise fit and finish. The design concept includes extremely clever use of lighting as the restaurant has only 1 aspect. An outside area for those lazy summer afternoons has given additional space and a mediterranean feel. The overall look is industrial and modern with bright colours, textures and design pieces all making a truly pleasent environment within, whilst externally, we have finished with render and cor-ten steel cladded panels, cedar cladding along with a high glazed shopfront along the full perimeter.
