This garden was originally a two tiered grassed area.
The remit was to dig out and level the majority of the garden leaving a raised area in the back corner, which could be used for relaxing and entertaining in the afternoon sun.
Sawn sandstone slabs were used to the entire area with the exception of the raised beds and the omission of a couple of slabs allowing for the insertion of various plants and trees to infuse colour into the space.
The raised area was then enclosed on two sides with the use of Ipe hardwood, which is a native of South America and forms a striking contrast to the sandstone slabs.
This was then completed with a combination of grey smoked glass panels and satin stainless steel posts for added decadence and of course to prevent any mishaps during entertaining the neighbours.
This project was both designed and created by the Linear team – and the results were stunning.
